How long does a KIWI Spark coil last?

The lifespan of a coil is not calculated in days, but in the amount of vaporized liquid. A KIWI Spark coil lasts on average about 20-30 ml of liquid (which is about 2 or 3 standard bottles). This duration can vary: very sweet, creamy, or dark tobacco liquids tend to gunk up the cotton faster than fruity or transparent (distilled) liquids.

What is the best coil for the KIWI Spark?

There is no absolute best coil, but rather the one most suited to your tastes. The KIWI Spark pods are available in two variants: the 0.8 ohm one (included in the kit) offers warmer, fuller, and more abundant vapor. The 1.2 ohm one, on the other hand, provides a tighter draw (similar to a traditional cigarette), cooler vapor, and guarantees slightly lower battery and liquid consumption.

How to tell if the Kiwi Spark coil is burnt?

The signs of an exhausted coil are easy to recognize: the most obvious is an acrid and burnt taste (the so-called "dry hit"). Other warning bells are a drastic drop in flavor yield (the liquid tastes like nothing anymore), very poor vapor production, abnormal liquid leaks from the bottom of the pod, or the liquid in the tank quickly turning dark.

How to change the Kiwi Spark coil?

The KIWI Spark uses a "pod" system. This means that the coil is integrated inside the plastic cartridge and cannot be extracted from the tank, but is replaced together with the pod. When the coil is burnt, you won't have to get your hands dirty: just pull the entire magnetic cartridge out of the battery body, throw it away and attach a new one, remembering to wait 5 minutes after filling the liquid to let the cotton of the new cartridge soak properly.

Which coil produces more vapor?

In the vaping world, the lower the ohm value, the higher the power output and, consequently, the amount of vapor produced. Therefore, the pod with the 0.8 ohm coil will make more "smoke" (vapor) compared to the 1.2 ohm one, offering a stronger throat hit.

What happens if you vape with a burnt coil?

Vaping with a burnt coil is strongly discouraged. In addition to giving a disgusting taste that will ruin your liquid, you will inhale the fumes of carbonized cotton. This not only causes immediate throat irritation and coughing, but also defeats the harm reduction principle of the electronic cigarette. As soon as you taste a burnt flavor, replace the pod immediately.
